Set to support commercial, VIP, and military aircraft, the project includes two widebody paint bays and a multipurpose hangar capable of handling light maintenance tasks. Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Doha has implemented a major upgrade to its e-gate system, now allowing children to use this advanced, automated immigration technology, significantly improving the travel experience for families.

According to Captain Ali Ahmed Al-Kuwari of the Airport Passports Department, children aged seven and above and measuring between 120 and 130 centimeters in height are eligible to use the e-gates, provided their passport or Qatar ID contains a clear, system-registered photo for facial recognition.
